After 4.5 years leading dozens of walking tours for over 800 guests I am hanging up my laminates, at least for the public walks. You can see why on this blog post. I can still be booked for private tours (see reviews) which vary in price depending on the type and size of group so please email or call +44 7989 409046 to discuss your requirements.

Couldn’t have enjoyed this walk more. Sam is sharp, funny and very well informed. Anyone interested in social history and/or design will be in seventh heaven. – tessak17 via TripAdvisor

I have also made the mobile phone app free (see below, tips appreciated) which means you can now access the research and walks via this, with more walks to be added in the future. The app features all the content from the in-person walks in audio and text formats, with accompanying archival photography and maps to guide you. Contemporary photography and google streetview links are also provided for those unable to walk the streets and see the signs in person.

If one can’t be on the Ghost Sign tour itself, this is a nice alternative. The app is nicely designed, easy to navigate and has interesting information about the various sites and signs by way of audio and text. The photos are excellent and taken from different perspectives. I really like the app. – Rich12456 via iTunes
