Stuart Neville (aka Glasgow Pictures) is a photographer in Glasgow who has been documenting the city’s ghost signs since 2007. His collection includes many signs that have since been lost and these photos now serve as records of these changes. Stuart uses a broad defnition of ‘ghost’ signs and so the material does include a range of non-painted forms. However, the majority are signs fading on walls and shopfronts across Glasgow. Stuart has published his work in two volumes which can either be downloaded (free) directly from his website, or ordered as printed publications at 8″ x 8″ (c. 20 x 20 cm).

Thank you Stuart for sharing your work with me, and for making it accessible for all via the electronic publication format. For those interested in the city of Glasgow, here are some past posts about it’s ghost signs.
