However, this particular photo offers a dramatic illustration of the effects of weathering on brickads. It can clearly be seen from the shadow cast by the sun that the top left portion of the sign consistently receives more sunlight than the bottom right corner. It is also the top left corner that has faded the most as a result of this exposure, which may also include wind and rain.
